Maccabi Tel-Aviv have started the league phase of the UEFA Europa League in poor form with just one point collected from their opening four matches. The home team come into this one on the back of a 6-2 annihilation at the hands of Beitar Jerusalem in the Israeli Premier League a few weeks ago.
They now face an Olympique Lyonnais side that, under the management of Paulo Fonseca, have a smaller squad than they would have liked after being forced to sell over the summer. That has contributed to their form dipping of late, albeit they have won three out of their four UEL games.
Lyon are one of the favourites for this trophy and, on neutral territory with little to worry about in terms of their opposition, should make it four wins out of five here.
