Macarthur vs Newcastle Jets prediction

League leaders Newcastle Jets will no doubt see this as a great opportunity to lay down an early marker as the Australian top flight gets back underway. They bounced back well from defeat at the hands of Auckland FC with an excellent 1-2 victory away at Sydney FC, which was made even more important by Auckland losing to Macarthur.

The hosts pose a very dangerous challenge though, as they showed when taking down Auckland. That win ended a four-match losing streak. However, what doesn’t help their cause is that the Jets have enjoyed a break leading into the game and much-needed time on the training pitch. They’ll be raring to go and with the quality at their disposal, it’s worth backing Newcastle Jets, albeit via the safety of the draw no bet market.
