Lucrezia Stefanini vs Veronika Kudermetova prediction

Lucrezia Stefanini couldn’t make it out of qualifying for the Madrid Open and fell to a defeat in the second-round of the Catalonia Open on the Challenger Tour. She beat Aleksandra Krunic in the first-round but was largely uncompetitive against Aliona Bolsova, losing 6-4 6-3 to the Spaniard.

She will compete in her home event but has her work cut out in the first-round against Veronika Kudermetova. The Russian had a pretty strong overall tournament in Madrid as she reached the third-round, which included a win over sister Polina, before losing to Marta Kostyuk in a close three set match.

She also reached the doubles final with Elise Mertens but lost to the pair of Anna Kalinskaya and Sorana Cirstea. Kuderemetova struggled here last year, losing to now retired Angelique Kerber 6-3 6-0 in a surprising first-round defeat.

Nevertheless, she’s in pretty decent form this time around and should comfortably be winning this encounter in straight sets.
