Bronzetti enjoyed a fine run to the round-of-16 in Cincinnati last month, which included a victory over two-time Grand Slam champion Coco Gauff, but has failed to win a match since then after three straight defeats.
Marta Kostyuk played an integral role in the quarter-finals for Ukraine. She got them up and running with a victory in the singles against Jessica Bouzas Maneiro. Kostyuk edged in front in the tiebreak and controlled the second to win 7-6 6-2. She produced some promising stuff at Flushing Meadows, reaching the fourth-round and she now has four wins from her last five matches.
Kostyuk is the player in form and will be expected to get Ukraine off to a winning start in this crucial singles match.
