Lorient vs Troyes prediction
Lorient finished firmly in the middle-of-the-table last season after they gained promotion from Ligue 2 in the 2024-25 campaign. They have moved on from Olivier Pantaloni with the appointment of Alexandre Dujeux and began this season with a goalless draw against Nice at the Allianz Riviera last weekend.
Troyes also began their return to the top-flight with a goalless draw as they shared that scoreline with big spending Paris FC at Stade de l’Aube last weekend. Troyes are a part of the City Football Group and, as a result of that, lost key man Mathis Detourbet to Manchester City over the summer, only for him to be loaned out to Monaco.
Troyes lack goals as a result and will likely seek to maintain a tight defence and so, while Lorient are favourites, it may not be a thriller for the neutral this weekend.
