Lorient are major strugglers in Ligue 1, despite pre-season expectations following their Ligue 2 promotion, ahead of taking on an inconsistent and fallible Nice side.

Lorient vs Nice prediction

Following their promotion to the top-flight last season, Lorient have a well-run operation off the pitch as an affiliate club of AFC Bournemouth and Auckland in the Black Knight Group. However, their struggle in Ligue 1 continued last week with a 1-1 draw against fellow strugglers Nantes at Stade de la Beaujoire.

Nice, coached by Lucien Faivre, are dealing with the neglect of ownership group INEOS, but the southerners have been reasonably strong so far this season. That said, they have dipped once again and they were hammered 5-1 at home by Olympique de Marseille in the Derby de la Mediterranee.

Lorient have won just two games so far this season and so siding with them to win seems a long shot but they should take the game to a Nice side that themselves can also be entertaining.

Lorient vs Nice tip: Both teams to score
