Lorenzo Sonego vs Roman Andres Burruchaga prediction

Lorenzo Sonego has not had the most inspiring set of results on clay so far this season. He lost in the second-round in Marrakech after being granted a bye as the second seed and was then dumped out of the Monte-Carlo Masters at the same stage by Pedro Martinez.

He did get his first win of the season on the surface in Madrid with a straight sets win over Miomir Kecmanovic but any momentum was halted by an uninspiring loss to Alex de Minaur in the very next round. 

Roman Andres Burruchaga has almost exclusively competed on clay this season. He is regular on the Challenger Tour, making successive quarter-finals towards the end of March but then failing to make it out of qualifying for Madrid. He had a far more promising outing last week as he won three successive matches on his way to making the semi-finals of the Mauthausen Challenger, where he lost to Cristian Garin despite taking the first set.

Sonego should still come out on top despite his indifferent form, but it may take three sets to get over the line against the clay court specialist.
