Lorenzo Musetti vs Nikoloz Basilashvili prediction

Lorenzo Musetti survived a mini scare to reach the last eight in Chengdu.

The top seed overcame a mid-match dip to see off Dino Prizmic 7-5 3-6 6-2.

The Italian will now meet Nikoloz Basilashvili after the Georgian finally cracked the Mackenzie McDoanld code at the fourth time of asking courtesy of a 6-2 7-6 success. 

Basilashvili will have hopes of pulling off the upset in his fourth career meeting with Musetti, having won two of their three encounters, including a four-set triumph at Wimbledon recently. 

However, Musetti looks to have found another gear since then and did win their only previous showdown on a hardcourt. 

The world number nine will be a heavy favourite despite his previous travails in the match-up and we expect him to deliver in these conditions.
