Lorenzo Musetti vs Daniil Medvedev prediction
Lorenzo Musetti recorded another comfortable win to make it through to the round-of-16 stage of his home event in Rome as he defeated Brandon Nakashima 6-4 6-3. The Italian has faced just one break point in each of his two matches and hasn’t lost serve in this tournament so far.
He will have his toughest test to date against Daniil Medvedev. The Russian was rarely troubled as he raced to a comfortable 6-4 6-1 win over Alexei Popyrin in the last round.
Medvedev has won both of their previous matches in straight sets, though both were on hard court and took place within a few weeks of each other in the summer of 2023. Plenty has changed since then, with the Italian moving into the world’s top 10 and Medvedev dropping out.
