Liudmila Samsonova vs Anastasia Potapova prediction

Anastasia Potapova scored a magnificent win over a previously red-hot Karolina Muchova in Rome.

The Austrian continued her own excellent form on the dirt with a comprehensive 6-3 6-2 success at the expense of the 11th seed. 

The qualifier will now take on Liudmila Samsonova after the 20th seed showed much-needed improvement in a 6-4 6-3 triumph over Ann Li. 

Interestingly, world number 38 Potapova has won their previous two encounters, including a 6-4 4-6 6-3 win on clay in Stuttgart two years ago. 

We reckon it’s worth backing her for the hat-trick with the Austrian showing real consistency in the clay swing up to now.
