Levante preview: Improving Levante

Levante appointed former Dunkerque and Nantes boss Luis Castro in the winter break and performances have improved with a few notably impressive results, too, despite remaining in the danger zone.

The Valencians head into this one on the back of back-to-back 1-1 draws against Girona and Rayo Vallecano after defeating Deportivo Alaves by two goals to nil at the end of February.

Oviedo preview: Struggling Oviedo

Real Oviedo have been comfortably the weakest and most limited team in La Liga this season but the Asturians are improving and earned their fourth victory of the campaign last weekend.

Up against Valencia at Estadio Carlos Tartiere, Oviedo defeated Los Che by a goal to nil last week, courtesy of a 30th minute strike scored by experienced centre-back David Costas.

Levante team news: Matias Moreno suspended

Key centre-back Matias Moreno is missing through suspension for Levante this week, while key attacking duo Brugui and Carlos Alvarez are also sidelined, too.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Ryan; Toljan, Nacho Perez, Matturro, Manu Sanchez; Oriol Rey, Iker Losada; Victor Garcia, Ivan Romero, Tunde; Carlos Espi

Unavailable: Matias Moreno (Suspended), Brugui (Injured), Carlos Alvarez (Injured)

Questionable: Unai Elgezabal (Injured), Pablo Martinez (Injured)

Oviedo team news: Ilic out

Key attacking midfielder Luka Ilic is sidelined due to an Achilles injury and is now unavailable alongside Lucas Ahijado and Leander Dendoncker.

Predicted XI (4-4-2): Aaron; Nacho Vidal, Bailly, David Costas, Javi Lopez; Ilyas Chaira, Sibo, Santi Cazorla, Hassan; Alberto Reina, Fede Vinas

Unavailable: Lucas Ahijado (Injured), Dendoncker (Injured), Ejaria (Ineligible), Ilic (Injured)

Questionable:

Levante vs Oviedo prediction

These are two sides that have shared a similar journey in recent years and that appears to be continuing into the spring and potentially the summer, too. It is a game whereby both will sense a major opportunity to finally pinch three points and that could lead to a stretched and potentially fun encounter in which both teams scoring seems a good bet.

Levante vs Oviedo tip: Both teams to score
