The Indonesian world number 149 has been sensational at ITF-level, clocking up a 50-7 record as well as surging from qualifying to the second round at the US Open.
Now the 23-year-old will hope to make more of an impression at tour-level but will face a difficult task against world number 93 Jeanjean.
The 30-year-old French star did make a strong impression in Cincinnati but will be disappointed to have fallen at the first hurdle at Flushing Meadows.
This will be their first encounter and it’s worth considering the shock.
Tjen has a big-hitting game off the forehand and if Jeanjean doesn’t produce top-drawer defence she may be in for a tricky day at the office.
