Lens vs Nice prediction

Lens begin the final game before the Ligue 1 winter break sitting at the top-of-the-table, a point above defending treble winners Paris Saint-Germain. Pierre Sage, who was appointed over the summer, most recently oversaw an impressive but hard-fought 2-1 victory over struggling Nantes at Stade de la Beaujoire last weekend.

They now face a neglected Nice side that, still just about under the management of unhappy Franck Haise, suffered a 1-0 loss to Braga in the UEFA Europa League. In Ligue 1, the southerners have been woeful in the league at the moment with a 1-0 defeat at home to Angers, extending their losing streak to five matches.

That makes it eight defeats in a row across all competitions and, with their home advantage, Lens will be expected to ease themselves to a victory to stay at the top.

Lens vs Nice tip: Lens to win
