Lecce begin the final round of fixtures of the Serie A season sitting just a point clear of Cremonese in the bottom three and the relegation places. The home team come into this one on the back of an entertaining 3-2 win away at Sassuolo last week, to mean that they have now managed just one win in their last five matches.
They now face a Genoa side that have been much-improved since the appointment of Daniele De Rossi in early-November. The Genovese are finishing the season with a bit of a whimper, though, with their 2-1 defeat at home to AC Milan last weekend extending their winless run of form to four matches.
Genoa may pose a bit of a threat as a steady side but Lecce will be expected to grind out another victory down in the south of Italy on Sunday evening.
