Big things are expected of Learner Tien this year, especially after the American won the Next Gen ATP Finals in December, and he now returns to the tournament where he really made a name for himself last year.

The 20-year-old reached the fourth round on his last trip to Melbourne, and hard courts have so far been the preferred surface in his young career.
