Le Havre remain firmly in the fight against the drop in Ligue 1 this season as they now prepare to take on UEFA Champions League chasing Monaco at Stade Oceane this weekend.

How to watch on TV: UK – Not televised / US – beIN Sports

Le Havre Preview: Stubborn Le Havre

Former Middlesbrough boss Didier Digard replaced Luka Elsner last summer and Le Havre have been competitive for much of the campaign as they do begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting just outside of the bottom two in the relegation playoff place in Ligue 1.

The hosts fought hard at Parc des Princes in the French capital city last weekend as they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in a game in which PSG went 2-0 up via Desire Doue and Goncalo Ramos before Issa Soumare pulled a goal back.

Monaco Preview: Foot on the Monegasque

Under the management of former Borussia Monchengladbach boss Adi Hutter, Monaco come into this one on the back of a goalless draw with Strasbourg in their most recent outing at Stade Louis II last weekend in the principality of Monaco.

The Monegasque have been entertaining to watch throughout Hutter’s time in charge of the club but that could well be ending this summer. They do remain tucked inside the top three and the UEFA Champions League qualifying spots ahead of this weekend’s round of fixtures.

Le Havre vs Monaco Prediction

Le Havre have been fighting hard since the March international break and they have given themselves a chance of being able to push themselves out of the bottom three and the danger zone. That means they may well be able to take the game to Monaco for this one but the visitors will surely have to remain favourites for a clash that could well be an entertaining encounter at Stade Oceane this weekend.

Le Havre vs Monaco Tip: Monaco to win & both teams to score
