Lazio come into this one on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Roma in the Derby della Capitale, making it back-to-back Serie A losses as they drift into the middle-of-the-table; with those losses sandwiching a 2-0 defeat to Internazionale in the final of the Coppa Italia.
Pisa have struggled throughout this season, as was to be expected after their promotion last year. The visitors were hammered 3-0 by Napoli at Arena Garibaldi in their most recent outing in Tuscany, extending their current losing streak to eight matches – scoring just twice in that run.
Pisa have been woeful or a while now and Lazio will be expected to come out on top, even with their poor form, in a likely low-scoring clash in the Italian capital city.
