Lazio preview: Underperforming Lazio
In his second stint in charge of Lazio, Maurizio Sarri is overseeing a Lazio side that are sitting tucked inside the top-half of the table, but they went into the break on the back of an underwhelming 2-0 defeat to Internazionale at San Siro.
The Romans have struggled to find any sort of form or fluency throughout the 2025/26 Serie A campaign. Lazio have also been one of the duller sides to watch with their 11 games having consisted of just 22 goals thus far.
Lecce preview: Indifferent Lecce
Over the summer, Lecce took the decision to appoint former Roma boss Eusebio Di Francesco, who has overseen a relegation in each of the last two Serie A seasons; firstly with Frosinone and then again with Venezia last year.
The Apulia-based outfit have managed just two victories in their opening 11 matches of the campaign as they come into this one on the back of a goalless draw with Hellas Verona at Stadio Comunale Via del Mare in Apulia a couple of weeks ago.
Lazio team news: A few issues
Lazio head into the visit of Lecce dealing with quite a few injury issues as defender Samuel Gigot remains sidelined, whilst key men Elseid Hysaj and Taty Castellanos are also doubtful.
Predicted XI (4-3-3): Provedel; Lazzari, Mario Gila, Romagnoli, Marusic; Guendouzi, Cataldi, Basic; Isaksen, Dia, Zaccagni

Questionable: Hysaj (Injured), Tavares (Injured), Taty Castellanos (Injured)
Lecce team news: Several injuries
As they make the trip to the Stadio Olimpico, Lecce have several injury issues for this one as both Gaby Jean and Hamza Rafia are sidelined, whilst Filip Marchwinski and Francesco Camarda are also doubts.
Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Falcone; Veiga, Gaspar, Tiago Gabriel, Gallo; Ramadani, Coulibaly; Tete Morente, Berisha, Banda; Stulic
Unavailable: Jean (Injured), Rafia (Injured)
Questionable: Marchwinski (Injured), Camarda (Injured)
Lazio vs Lecce prediction
Lazio have a lot of quality in their squad, but perhaps not enough to get to grips with the complexity of what Sarri football is. They have experience from his previous stint but the club and team have been stagnating. Di Francesco is a coach who has often been criticised for being too attacking but he has become a lot more pragmatic of late and Lecce have therefore been quite low-scoring, and so a low-scoring clash in which Lazio have to remain favourites, purely with their home advantage, would seem a good bet.
Lazio vs Lecce tip: Lazio to win & under 3.5 goals
