Kuwait find themselves under significant pressure here as a defeat would likely leave them on the brink of elimination in the group stage. They played well against Egypt and were unlucky not to win, giving up a late penalty whilst one-goal in front. As for Jordan, next year’s FIFA World Cup debutants were winners in the first round of fixtures, defeating United Arab Emirates 2-1 in Al Khor.
Expect Kuwait to deploy an ultra-attacking style of play, knowing the importance of gaining a positive result, but Jordan have enough juice themselves from an attacking perspective to breach the Kuwait backline and are capable of fighting fire with fire offensively.
