The Kent Spitfires began the 2026 T20 Blast campaign with an impressive 27-run victory over Middlesex at Lord’s, having hit 208-6. They backed that up by chasing down 198 to defeat the Sussex Sharks with seven wickets remaining in just 18.2 overs.

The Essex Eagles appear fairly limited in white-ball cricket and more focused on the County Championship. Essex were comfortably beaten by the Sussex Sharks in their opener at Chelmsford before then suffering a 30-run defeat to the Hampshire Hawks in Southampton.
