Katerina Siniakova vs Aliona Bolsova prediction

Katerina Siniakova pulled out of a 125 event in Paris after winning her first-round match against Jenny Lim but has declared herself fit for this event. Her best finish on clay so far this season was a quarter-final appearance in Lleida but she lost in the first-round of both main tour events in Madrid and Rome. She was a set up in both of those matches against Katie Boutler and Olga Danilovic respectively but couldn’t get the job done.

Alina Bolsova also made the quarter-finals in Lleida but that was her most recent event. Prior to that, she also reached the semi-finals of a 125 event in La Bisbal D’Emporada, defeating second seed Arantxa Rus but then coming unstuck against Darja Semenistaja despite taking the first set.

Bolsova has performed well in her last few events away from the WTA Tour, but Siniakova is vastly more experienced and nearly 300 places above the Spaniard in the world rankings. She should be winning this comfortably.
