Kamilla Rakhimova vs Coco Gauff prediction
Kamilla Rakhimova advanced to the second-round of the China Open after defeating Lucia Bronzetti in straight sets. She was pegged back after going 4-1 in front but still took the first set and then reeled off five straight games to win 6-4 6-1 after one hour and 19 minutes.
Coco Gauff is her opponent in the second-round. The two-time Grand Slam champion won the title here last year after victory over Karolina Muchova in the final. Gauff has not featured since her round-of-16 loss to Naomi Osaka at the US Open, having not competed for the United States in the Billie Jean King Cup Finals.
Gauff’s form has not been particularly impressive since her French Open title and she is struggling in some aspects of her game, primarily her serve. Nevertheless, she should still have too much for Rakhimova as she starts her defence.
