Kamil Majchrzak makes his return to the tour following a knee injury. The Pole has not competed since his second-round loss at the Grand Prix Hassan II in Marrakesh. His best result of the season so far was a quarter-final appearance at the Brisbane International, while he also reached the third-round of the Miami Open in March.
He takes on Camilo Ugo Carabelli. The Argentine lost in the first-round of the Italian Open to Alexander Shevchenko in three sets. He then dropped down to compete on the Challenger Tour in Valencia last week, defeating Matteo Berrettini but then losing to Miomir Kecmanovic in the last eight. He already has a Challenger title this season after winning in Rosario for a second straight year, while his best ATP result was a semi-final appearance in Marrakesh.
Majchrzak is short of match fitness ahead of Roland Garros, and Ugo Carabelli will go into this one as the favourite to win.
