Juventus preview: Steady start for the Bianconeri

Having finished last season quite well under former Olympique de Marseille and Lazio manager Igor Tudor, Juventus have started their 2025/26 Serie A campaign with back-to-back victories against Parma and then against Genoa.

Juventus eased to a 2-0 win against Parma at the Allianz Stadium in Turin on the opening day of the season, before then beating Genoa by a goal to nil at the Luigi Ferraris a couple of weeks ago, courtesy of a Dusan Vlahovic winning goal.

Inter Milan preview: Frustrated Nerazzurri

Over the summer, having missed out any of their proposed treble last season, Simone Inzaghi departed Internazionale ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup and he was replaced by former Parma boss Cristian Chivu, who kept Parma up in Serie A last season.

The Nerazzurri started their campaign with an impressive and fighting 5-0 hammering of Torino as they sought to prove doubters wrong, but the doubters re-emerged after their 2-1 loss to Udinese at San Siro a week later.

Juventus team news: Cambiaso suspended

Italy international Andrea Cambiaso is missing through suspension for Juve this week, and they are also dealing with a couple of injury doubts, too, such as Fabio Miretti and Francisco Conceicao.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Di Gregorio; Gatti, Bremer, Kelly; Kalulu, Locatelli, Thuram, Joao Mario; Koopmeiners, Yildiz; David

Unavailable: Juan Cabal (Injured), Cambiaso (Suspended)

Questionable: Perin (Injured), Miretti (Injured), Conceicao (Injured), Milik (Injured)

Inter Milan team news: Fully fit

Ahead of their trip to Turin, Cristian Chivu gets to select from a fully fit and available squad for the 20-time Italian champions, with no fresh injury concerns or suspension issues.

Predicted XI (3-5-2): Sommer; Bisseck, Acerbi, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Sucic, Dimarco; Thuram, Lautaro Martinez

Unavailable:

Questionable:

Juventus vs Inter Milan prediction

We have Italy’s two most successful sides domestically both seeking to re-emerge as title contenders this season. It has been half a decade or so of inertia for Juventus, whilst Inter were on for a treble last season before an implosion that culminated in a 5-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the final of the UEFA Champions League. There are doubts over the age and hunger of Inter, as well as manager Chivu, and siding with Juve could well be a good value bet for this one.

Juventus vs Inter Milan tip: Double chance – Juventus to win or draw
