Juan Manuel Cerundolo easily won on his French Open main draw debut, defeating 32nd seed Alex Michelsen 6-3 6-2 6-4 after a superb performance.
He takes on Hamad Medjedovic for a place in the third-round. The Serbian picked up a straight sets victory of his own as he beat Kamil Majchrzak 6-3 6-3 7-6. He had lost his previous three matches heading into the tournament but made a quick start and never looked back, picking up his first ever win in a Grand Slam tournament.
