Jil Teichmann ended hopes of an all-Romanian final with a dominant win over Sorana Cirstea. 

The Swiss maintained her head-to-head dominance over Cirstea with a 6-4 6-3 victory. 

The sixth seed will now bid to end another Romanian dream when she takes on Irina-Camelia Begu. 

The veteran seventh seed shocked her compatriot Jaqueline Cristian 6-4 6-4 to set up a fifth career-meeting with Teichmann.

The Romanian leads 3-1 in the match-up and 2-1 on clay, including a 1-6 6-4 6-0 victory at this tournament two years ago. 

Both players have posted excellent results this week and it’s tough to ignore previous head-to-head and home support. 

We think it’s a tricky one to call given how well the Swiss has played this week and suspect it may go the distance.
