Jessica Bouzas Maneiro’s poor form continued at the Billie Jean Cup as she was defeated by Marta Kostyuk in the singles, with Spain losing out to Ukraine overall. It’s still been a strong season for Bouzas Maneiro but she is seemingly starting to run out of steam.
Jaqueline Cristian’s run in Seoul ended early on as she was defeated by Emma Raducanu in the first-round. Cristian did build a lead in both sets, but Raducanu fought back to defeat the Romanian 6-3 6-4. She will hope to get back to winning ways with a victory in the first-round of the China Open.
