Jannik Sinner notched up his sixth Masters title in a row at the Italian Open last time out, as he won the event for the first time to achieve the Career Golden Masters, becoming just the second male player after Novak Djokovic to complete the feat. Sinner has not lost a match since his Qatar Open quarter-final loss to Jakub Mensik in February, and he is currently on a 29-match unbeaten run. The world number one is a heavy favourite to win the French Open for the first time, thus becoming the ninth player to complete the Career Grand Slam.
He plays Clement Tabur in round one. The Frenchman qualified for the Geneva Open last time out, losing to Alexei Popyrin. He does have a Challenger title to his name this year, following success in Tallahassee. Tabur is at his highest ranking of 165 in the world.
All signs point towards a comfortable win for Sinner, who should have far too much quality for Tabur in the opening round.
