Janice Tjen vs Aoi Ito prediction

In terms of the biggest events, it has been a breakthrough year for Janice Tjen, who makes her Wuhan Open debut on Monday. The Indonesian talent was originally slated to face Oleksandra Oliynykova in the first round, but her opponent withdrew from the event at short notice.

Tjen plays some of her best tennis on hard courts and will fancy her chances against Aoi Ito, who came through qualifying but who hasn't won a WTA main draw match in 2026.

The 22-year-old is outside the top 300 at present due to an injury-plagued period of her career, and she hasn't yet found the consistency that took her into the top 100 last year.

This looks like Tjen's to lose.
