Jakub Mensik vs Fabian Marozsan prediction

Jakub Mensik made it through to the third-round with a battling straight sets win over Matteo Gigante, defeating the Italian 7-5 7-6. Despite both sets being tight, Mensik was secure in his service games, not even facing a break point as his big serve remained strong throughout.

He now goes up against Fabian Marozsan as he defeated 16th seed Andrey Rublev in three sets. It was a very stylish performance from the Hungarian who created a number of chances on Rublev’s service games. He has fond memories of Rome, having made the fourth-round here in 2023 on debut and he's now beaten fine players in Rublev and Joao Fonseca en route to reaching the third-round this time around.

Mensik could have his work cut out against the Hungarian, who also made the semi-finals of the BMW Open last month. However, the Czech’s serve continues to be a consistent weapon and should provide enough free points for the 20th seed to win in three sets.
