A pair of new faces will collide when Jakub Mensik and Alex Michelsen do battle in the second singles encounter of Day 1 at the 2025 Laver Cup.
The two debutants will also be locking horns for the first time ever with the 21-year-old American 12 months older but 15 places below the 17th ranked Czech on the ATP ladder.
Mensik has the greater pedigree at present having won the Miami Masters earlier in the year, but Michelsen will hope to make home advantage count.
