Jaime Faria vs Thiago Agustin Tirante prediction

Jaime Faria and Thiago Agustin Tirante meet for a second time in a battle of clay-courters in Austria.

The 24-year-old Tirante won their previous meeting 3-6 6-1 6-4 on the dirt of Bastad last year and it looks like being another close contest here.

Both players are ranked just outside the world’s top 100 with Portuguese starlet Faria, 21, notably taking a set off Novak Djokovic at this year’s Australian Open, while Tirante has made more impact at Challenge level.

The Argentine won a title in Cordoba earlier in the year and recently finished as runner-up in Trieste, preferring to focus mostly on clay tournaments.

It could well go either way so a flutter on it going the distance makes the most sense, especially when you factor in last year’s encounter too.
