Iva Jovic returned to winning ways in Miami as she dominated her match with Paula Badosa to win in straight sets. The former world number two couldn’t keep up with Jovic, who was in complete control as she strolled to a 6-2 6-1 win. The 18-year-old will now take on Talia Gibson in the next round.

Gibson continued her incredible run of form as she beat four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka in the previous round. The Australian displayed plenty of powerful hitting from the baseline as she won 7-5 6-4. The 21-year-old, who reached the quarter-finals of Indian Wells as a qualifier less than two weeks ago, has now beaten four top 20 players at the Sunshine Double events this year. 

Jovic will start as the favourite, but Gibson is one of the most in-form players on the tour at the moment and will make it tough for the teenager.
