The 27-year-old prevailed 5-7 7-5 4-1 as the fourth seed retired in the decider.
Burillo will now meet Simona Waltert after the Swiss defeated the veteran Anastasija Sevastova 6-3 6-3.
This will be their third meeting but a first in three years.
Burillo has had the edge on the two other occasions on clay, but Waltert has matured at 24 and could well pose a threat going by her performance against Sevastova.
