We have the Derby della Madonnina taking place in Milan this weekend as both Internazionale and AC Milan seek to keep themselves involved in the Serie A title race.

Kick-off date/time:

How to watch on TV: UK – TNT Sports & DAZN / US – Paramount+ & DAZN

Inter Milan preview: Strong Inter

Cristian Chivu was viewed as a risky appointment for Internazionale but the Nerazzurri have been very impressive of late, having risen back to the top-of-the-table on goal difference ahead of this weekend’s round of fixtures.

Inter come into this one on the back of a comfortable and impressive 2-0 defeat of Lazio at San Siro in their most recent outing a couple of weeks ago, courtesy of goals in either half from striking duo Lautaro Martinez and Ange-Yoan Bonny.

AC Milan preview: Improved but dull Rossoneri

Massimiliano Allegri returned to AC Milan over the summer and he has helped the Rossoneri become much-improved in terms of their results, albeit performances have remained very dull with just 26 goals coming in their 11 matches.

They begin the 12th match day of the campaign sitting just a couple of points behind their league leading arch-rivals. They most recently shared a 2-2 draw at the Ennio Tardini in a game in which they were 2-0 up against the strugglers.

Inter Milan team news: Several issues

Inter are dealing with several injury issues for this one as Henrikh Mkhitaryan remains unavailable with defensive duo Matteo Darmian and Denzel Dumfries both key doubts.

Predicted XI (3-5-2): Sommer; Akanji, Acerbi, Bastoni; Luiz Henrique, Barella, Calhanoglu, Sucic, Dimarco; Bonny, Lautaro Martinez

Unavailable: Mkhitaryan (Injured)

Questionable: Di Gennaro (Injured), Palacios (Injured), Darmian (Injured), Dumfries (Injured)

AC Milan team news: Couple of doubts

AC Milan are dealing with a couple of crucial doubts for this one as France international midfielder Adrien Rabiot deals with a calf issue and Mexico international striker Santiago Gimenez deals with an ankle injury.

Predicted XI (3-5-2): Maignan; De Winter, Gabbia, Pavlovic; Saelemaekers, Fofana, Modric, Ricci, Pervis Estupinan; Nkunku, Leao

Unavailable:

Questionable: Rabiot (Injured), Santiago Gimenez (Injured)

Inter Milan vs AC Milan prediction

AC Milan have had the better of things against Inter in the recent Derby della Madonnina clashes. Inter have been the better side across all competitions, and in particular in Serie A, during that time, but things have become frustrating and drawn out against their arch-rivals. The expectation is for this one to be a low-scoring encounter with neither side wanting to give up anything to the other.

Inter Milan vs AC Milan tip: Under 2.5 goals
