Inter Miami have destroyed all before them so far in the MLS Cup playoffs, most recently seeing off New York City 5-1 at Chase Stadium in the Eastern Conference final.
Lionel Messi has, unsurprisingly, played an integral role in recent weeks, providing a record-breaking 13 goal involvements in the post-season as David Beckham's franchise seek their first ever MLS Cup title.
Spanish legends Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets will both hang up their boots after this match, so lifting the trophy would be a fitting end to their careers. Fellow ex-Barcelona star Luis Suarez is unlikely to be in the starting line-up though, with head coach Javier Mascherano having recenly fallen upon a better balance of Tadeo Allende and Mateo Silvetti supporting Messi in the front three.
Standing in Miami's way of glory, however, is a formidable opponent that they know all too well.
Paired together in the semi-finals of the CONCACAF Champions Cup earlier this year, Vancouver Whitecaps recorded a sensational 5-1 aggregate victory over Inter Miami, with their energy simply proving too much for their Floridian opponents across both legs.
Having added German legend Thomas Muller to their ranks in August, the Whitecaps will not fear their opponents and are fully deserving of their place in the MLS Cup.
Inter Miami look like a team on a mission right now, and will have learned their lesson from that humbling CCC elimination at the hands of the Whitecaps. They have home advantage, and we're expecting them to make that count, with Alba and Busquets book-ending their careers with yet another trophy.
