Inter Miami come into this one on the back of a 3-1 hammering of the Seattle Sounders at the Chase Stadium the other day in a game in which both Jordi Alba and Lionel Messi got themselves on the scoresheet before half-time. The Floridians had lost to the Sounders in the Leagues Cup final before the September international break.
DC United have once again endured a very difficult 2025 Major League Soccer season, sitting second-bottom in the Eastern Conference with just five victories in their 30 matches. The capital city club did manage to avoid defeat last weekend as they shared a 1-1 draw with Orlando City at Audi Field in Washington DC.
Despite the visitors having proven difficult to defeat for a strong Orlando side, Javier Mascherano will hope Inter Miami are now on for another strong run of form, given their streaky nature.
