India’s line-up has unsurprisingly been boosted incredibly by the addition of arguably the greatest ever ODI batter to the point where they have bounced back from two Test defeats to match South Africa in the 50-over games with a deciding contest now on the cards. Virat Kohli has been simply majestic throughout this series with consecutive hundreds to his name, but his 102 wasn’t enough for victory in the second ODI as the Proteas successfully chased down 359 to win and level things up.

There’s no doubt that India boasts the batting to come out on top. Even without Kohli, India can call upon other players to step up with the bat like Ruturaj Gaikwad for example, who also struck a century last time out. But the question is whether the Indian bowling attack to stifle the South African hitters. In what should be a close game, we’re banking on the home bowlers stepping up and supporting Kohli and co in leading India to an important triumph.
