For the second time in this series, South Africa’s resolve is set to be put to the test after they were beaten in the third T20i by seven wickets. The Proteas’ batting has been hot and cold to the extreme so far over the course of the three T20i matches played so far. Bowled out for 74 in game one, South Africa racked up a winning score of 213/4 in the second T20i before being skittled for 117 last time out.
Which South African batting line-up will we see this time around? If the pattern is to remain the same then a strong response is likely and whilst India have proven more consistent across the series, South Africa’s ability to clear the boundary rope at will gives them a good chance of success as India have not proven capable of reaching those 200+ scores as of yet. Whilst either outcome is possible, the value play would be to back South Africa.
