Iga Swiatek vs Maya Joint prediction
Iga Swiatek breezed through her quarter-final against Barbora Krejcikova in Seoul, winning 6-0 6-3 after an hour and 25 minutes. The Pole created numerous opportunities and broke her opponent on six occasions. She did have to save a break point when she was serving for the match, as Krejcikova’s level grew in the second set, but Swiatek was able to get the job done.
Maya Joint is her opponent in the semi-finals. The rising star produced another fine display to defeat third seed Clara Tauson by the same scoreline. The 19-year-old raced into a commanding lead and recovered from a deficit of 3-1 down in the second set to reel off the last five games and get through to her sixth semi-final of a breakthrough season. Joint has won the first two titles of her career in 2025 and will relish the prospect of facing Swiatek, a six-time Grand Slam champion.
Swiatek has rarely been troubled in this event so far and we think her consistent game is likely to prove too much for Joint.
