Iga Swiatek vs Ekaterina Alexandrova prediction
Despite the quick turnaround, Iga Swiatek easily swept aside Maya Joint to record her second win of the day and make it through to the final of the Korea Open. She broke the youngster on five separate occasions as she won 6-0 6-2 after just an hour and six minutes. Swiatek has now won 21 of her last 23 matches and is enjoying her best run of form of the season.
Ekaterina Alexandrova is her opponent in the final. The Russan defeated Katerina Siniakova in straight sets to make her third final of the season. She went an early break down in the second set but reeled off seven games in a row to take control.
Swiatek leads the head-to-head 5-2 and 3-2 on hard court. Their last match was just last month in the round-of-16 at the US Open, with the six-time Grand Slam champion easily winning 6-3 6-1. Swiatek has rarely been troubled in this event and she’s the firm favourite to win a third title of the year.
