Hungary vs Portugal prediction

Hungary come into this one on the back of an entertaining 2-2 draw against the Republic of Ireland at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin in June. The Hungarians were 2-0 up in that game but, after relegation from League A of the UEFA Nations League in March, they were then very disappointingly pegged back by the Irish.

Portugal, in their first game since the tragic death of Diogo Jota, managed to hammer Armenia by five goals to nil in Yerevan the other day, courtesy of braces from Cristiano Ronaldo and Joao Felix, as well as a Joao Cancelo goal. Roberto Martinez’ side won the UEFA Nations League in Germany in the summer.

Hungary will still believe they can get after the Portuguese, with their home advantage, but the visitors do look strong and they are the firm favourites for this one.

Hungary vs Portugal tip: Portugal to win & over 2.5 goals
