Ruben Selles’ Hull City remain just about involved in the Championship relegation battle ahead of Easter Monday and the same can perhaps be said about Preston North End this week, too.

Hull vs Preston prediction

Following the appointment of Reading boss Ruben Selles a couple of month ago, the Tigers have been much-improved in the Championship but they begin this round of fixtures sitting just two points clear of the bottom three and the danger zone after a dip in form of late, most recently suffering a 1-0 loss to Swansea City on Good Friday.

Preston North End had appeared completely safe but they have perhaps been slightly dragged into the Championship relegation battle as the Lancastrians come into this one on the back of a 2-1 defeat to Queens Park Rangers at Deepdale to mean they are now winless in their last six matches across all competitions since the March international break.

Hull will fancy their chances of seeing off Preston and inching their way closer to confirming second-tier status in the English football pyramid for the 2025/26 campaign.

Hull vs Preston tip: Double chance – Hull to win or draw
