Lucky loser Hugo Dellien advanced to the third-round after coming from a set down to beat Thiago Seyboth Wild 4-6 6-3 6-4. The Bolivian has struggled for form ever since making the semi-finals of a Merida Challenger in late March but now takes on a top 10 player in Alex de Minaur.
The Australian beat Luca Nardi 6-4 7-5 in his second-round match. He had the chances to make it a more comfortable encounter against the Italian but only took four out of 16 break point opportunities. Nevertheless, De Minaur was always in control of the match.
His recent form has been consistent, as he’s managed to reach the round-of-16 stage or better of all three clay court events he’s previously competed in over the past month.
