Hobart Hurricanes vs Perth Scorchers prediction

A Beth Mooney inspired Perth Scorchers outscored Sydney Sixers in an awesome Challenger victory on Thursday night in Sydney, thus booking their place in the WBBL 11 final. Standing between them and the trophy are Hobart Hurricanes, who have never won the WBBL in their history. But the hosts have already topped the league stage, winning seven of ten with just two defeats and a no result. Nat-Sciver Brunt’s 81 also led them to a seven-wicket victory against the Scorchers in the last encounter between these two sides.

Hobart being at home is a huge advantage from the Hurricanes’ point of view, but they’ve not played now since December 5th when their match against Adelaide was abandoned before Hobart has a chance to bat. Perth Scorchers are more battle-hardened and have momentum in their favour after beating the Sixers only a couple of days prior to this final, that following their win over Melbourne Stars in the Knockout.

Perth are on a roll, but Hobart have been the best team throughout the competition and can curate a pitch to their liking at Ninja Stadium. Expect them to be ready for the occasion and as was the case with the men’s side in last year’s BBL, Hobart Hurricanes should lift their first WBBL trophy on home soil.
