The prediction

In their opening six games, Hawthorn have earned themselves five victories. They most recently edged past Port Adelaide in a nail-biter with a three-point victory, holding off a late comeback from the South Australians.

Gold Coast, on the other hand, sit a place behind them in the ladder ahead of Round 7. They earned themselves their fourth win with their own narrow victory as they defeated Essendon in Carrara last weekend.

Home advantage at the MCG could be key here but it should be a close contest either way, albeit one that Hawthorn will fancy themselves for.
