The prediction
Hawthorn begin Round 23 of the 2026 AFL season sitting third in the table, in behind the Sydney Swans and Fremantle. Hawthorn come into this one on the back of a 67-point hammering, though, at the hands of defending champions the Brisbane Lions.
Collingwood come into this one on the back of a 19-point victory against a struggling West Coast Eagles side. Collingwood are in the middle of some excellent form with seven victories in their last eight matches.
Collingwood will fancy themselves here against a Hawthorn side that also need to react to last week’s hammering and so a high-scoring contest appears to be in store at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
