The prediction

Hawthorn come into this one on the back of a 39-point defeat to Melbourne in their most recent outing, last week. That means that they have now gone three without a win after a five-match winning streak, with the winless run beginning with a remarkable tie against Collingwood.

The Adelaide Crows stuttered at the start of this season but the South Australians have now enjoyed three successive victories. The most recent of those wins was an absolute thumping as they produced a 68-point victory against North Melbourne at the Adelaide Oval last week.

Hawthorn aren’t playing poorly, despite their slight dip, while Adelaide are in fine form and so backing a high-scoring, entertaining clash may be a decent bet for this one on Thursday.
