Hampshire Hawks vs Notts Outlaws prediction

Notts Outlaws are aiming to make it two South Group scalps in a row across the knockout stage of this year’s T20 Blast and book their place in the final for the first time since 2020, when they won the competition. Hampshire Hawks meanwhile, are embarking on their 12th Finals Day as the three-time champions look to return to the final, where they were beaten last year by Somerset.

If the Hawks are to overcome the North Group winning Outlaws, they’ll need James Vince at his brilliant best once again. Their captain and best batter was imperious against Essex in the last eight, scoring 125, the highest score in T20 Blast knockout stage history. Sonny Baker’s extra pace with the ball saw him pick up a five-wicket-haul in Hampshire’s 75-run victory and on the bowling front, he likely holds the key alongside the left-armer Chris Wood and the spin of Liam Dawson.

Notts Outlaws proved a lot against Surrey, beating a stacked team full of international experience. Whilst they may not boast the star names, they are an excellently rounded team well led by Joe Clarke. They’ve a large array of bowling options and should be suited to playing at Edgbaston. Therefore, back the Outlaws to edge past the Hawks in what should be a nail-biter.
