Hamad Medjedovic vs Yannick Hanfmann prediction
Hamad Medjedovic does have some momentum on his side heading into Roland Garros, following a largely excellent clay court campaign up to this point. He began by winning a Challenger event in Naples, before getting through to the quarter-finals of the Barcelona Open. He then competed in Rome and won three matches in a row, including a dramatic second-round win over Joao Fonseca, to progress to the round-of-16.
He takes on Yannick Hanfmann in the first-round. The German attempted to make it through to the last eight in Geneva last time out, but he lost to Luciano Darderi for a third time this season. He also lost to the Italian in the final of the Chile Open, his best result of the year so far in 2026.
This will be a competitive match, but it’s difficult to look past Medjedovic after the clay court season he’s had up to this point.
